Friday night-went to Fort Worth to the thrift store. Went with Ashley C. It was a night of firsts for her…first trip to McCart St., first trip to Olive Garden. It was fun though.
Saturday night-went to the annual Agape Way Family Church Halloween bash. I wish I had taken pictures. Rocky and Brandon were Thing 1 and Thing 2 and Aedan was the Cat in the Hat. Jeff was Zach Galifianakis from The Hangover (complete with fake baby). Jeremy and Abigail were a fisherman and a fish. Ashley Lee and her girls were all Care Bears. Elaine was Rosalie from Twilight and Lexie was Catwoman. Kathryn was Little Red Riding Hood. Carsyn was a gnome. Marc was Elvis Andrus. Dre was Ironman. (by the way, in the Halloween Half 5K, Dre ran in Ironman costume and I’m pretty sure that it was Brad S. that was the chicken). David, Julie, Scott, Ashley, Kitty and Adam did Saved By the Bell. They were totally gross. I felt like I was back in high school. Steve and Sarah were ET and Elliot. Brad and Desa were John and Kate plus 8. Jeremy and Heather were Gilligan and Ginger. There was a ninja turtle and Jango Fett. There was a little alligator. Jose, Graham, and Jennifer were the Ghostbusters while Shelly was the Statue of Liberty and Brad S. was the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Ashley C. was a 90’s girl. (Which made me feel OLD that the 90’s is now the subject of Halloween dressing). And I was Luke Skywalker from the Empire Strikes Back (complete with Tauntaun Sleeping Bag). It was a really neat party. We watched the baseball game and Graham’s dad took us out on a little hay ride. They live so far out that there is absolutely NO light pollution and the stars were AMAZING tonight. It definitely made me want to sell my truck and go back to school to study science.
After the party, I went back to town and went to see Saw 3D. I was getting pretty tired of the franchise, but I’m a sucker for 3D. By the last 15 minutes of the movie I was getting pissed off because of indescriminate killings. The whole glory of the Saw franchise is the rules of the game. If you take the game and the rules away, it really ceases to be Saw. BUT, the last 5 minutes are the payoff and they are WELL worth my personal frustration. I enjoyed it, but Saw is another film that I’m not convinced that is enhanced by being in 3D. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable.
Overall, it was a great weekend, even though I was super busy. I’m definitely looking forward to sleeping tomorrow after church.
REMEMBER HOW THIS FEELS. Remember how it feels when you eat crap. Remember how ill you feel when you consume mass quantities of sugar. Remember how it feels like you are so full you’ll explode. Remember how it feels like your heart is about to explode. Because it will if you keep eating this mess.
I’m sunburned, my throat is wrecked, and my towel swinging arm is aching. Awesome day!
Calorie wise, I ate a cheeseburger and drank a large coke at the ballpark. I felt so sick afterwards that I only had water for the rest of the day. Considering I was there almost 8 hrs. I’m impressed. Now don’t tell anyone but I’m doing red lobster for dinner.
Had another tattoo sitting. 2-3 more and it’ll be through. Man the inside of my arm is burning though. I kind of like that feeling. Now I’m watching the Rangers and the Yankees. I can’t wait till tomorrow. I’m going to the game tomorrow.
